1. What is your location?
Camera Doctor is located at 406 West 39th Street NYC. Right off of 9th Ave, a few blocks north of B&H Superstore
2. How do I send in my equipment for repair?
We would prefer customers sending in their equipment via UPS or Fed-EX. Please make sure it is insured for the proper value of the equipment. Include your contact info and any known issues with unit.
3. Estimates & Estimate Fees
Generally, when equipment arrives for service we contact you in approx 2 days with an estimate. If the estimate is approved we require a credit card for payment in order to begin repairs.
If the estimate is refused, there is a refusal fee Camera Doctor charges for the bench time that was put in to the equipment. Refusal fees vary depending on equipment.
We can give you "guesstimates" over the phone but the price will change once we see the equipment.
4. How long does the average repair take?
Camera Doctor repairs many different kinds of equipment from older large format cameras to new digital equipment. Our general repair time is 1.5 to 2 weeks. Repair time may be longer if parts are not in stock or backordered from manufacturer.
Custom work could take longer depending on what exactly needs to be done.
Keep in mind not all vintage camera can be brought back to life.
5. Warranty
Camera Doctor gives all full repairs a 90 day warranty on parts & labor.
No warranty on CCD/Sensor cleanings

7. How to pay for repairs
Camera Doctor accepts cash, all major credit cards and Paypal.
Sorry we do not take checks.
8. Shipping
We suggest customers ship their packages with either UPS or Fed-Ex. Please insure the package for the proper value (replacement cost) of the equipment.
We ship packages/equipment with Fed-Ex Ground service. Shipping price varies depending on weight and insurance value.
